Common Questions

You can use REPAIR for everything from filling a single pothole to a complete surface overlay.

For overlays on existing asphalt or concrete, no additional materials are needed. For repairing deep potholes, we recommend filling the base with REPAIR Road Base material and covering it with a 20mm layer of REPAIR cold asphalt. No tack coat is required for the application.

Yes, concrete cracks larger than 6.7mm can be filled using REPAIR. Concrete can also be overlaid, provided the surface is not completely smooth; we recommend roughening the surface with a breaker first to ensure a strong bond.

For small repairs (potholes under 0.5m²), you'll need a hand stamper, a broom, and a steel rake. For larger areas, we recommend mechanical compaction using a double-drum vibrating roller or a plate compactor. Please note: do not use a rammer compactor.

Yes, for straight-through traffic, it can be opened immediately. For parking areas or spots where vehicles turn on the spot, allow some time for curing. In high temperatures, you can dust the repaired surface with fine sand or dust to help absorb any excess binder.

No, it is not necessary. While squaring off improves the final appearance, REPAIR will adhere firmly to any surrounding material of any shape.

Yes, but ideally, you should allow the area to cure for approximately 7 days before painting or applying a secondary overlay.

REPAIR is packaged in 25kg bags and has a shelf life of 4 months if stored correctly. Because it contains volatiles that evaporate when exposed to air, we recommend using the full bag once opened or sealing it as tightly as possible.

REPAIR can be laid as thinly as its smallest aggregate size (6.7mm) for surface stripping. Its specialized adhesion agents ensure a strong bond to any existing, cleaned, and prepared surface.

Yes—REPAIR contains specialized adhesion agents that are not affected by water, so it can be applied in wet conditions and onto a damp surface. Any standing water must be removed from the hole first.
